Unscented & Unwhipped Body Butter – Nadia Mansour

This was for a custom order so I only made it to fill 1 8oz jar.
Feel free to adjust the recipe where you see fit.
  • 3oz Cocoa Butter
  • 3oz Shea Butter
  • 1oz Rice Bran Oil
  • 1oz Safflower Oil
  • 0.25oz Vitamin E Oil
1. Melt all your ingredients on low in a double boiler.
2. Transfer to a heat proof container and let come to room temperature.
3. Stir until it looks like a thin lotion before pouring into the container.
4. Cool completely before capping your container.
You can certainly cool the mixture in the fridge prior to pouring if you like but I find that it causes lumps from uneven cooling. You can also whip this recipe if you prefer a whipped butter instead.
The texture is wonderful! It’s not overly greasy and soaks right into the skin and leaves you with a nice healthy glow. General rule (depending on the recipe): if your body butter are making your skin feel greasy, you have applied way too much! A little goes a long way.
