Items:

  • Double Boiler (I used stainless steel)
  • 4 cup glass measuring cup
  • Wooden spoon
  • Rubber spatula
  • Stainless steel teaspoon

Ingredients:

  • ½ oz Dried Dandelion Flowers
  • ½ oz Dried Chaparral Leaf
  • ½ oz Dried Sage Leaf
  • ½ oz Dried Calendula Flower Petals
  • 1 oz Dried Comfrey Root (slightly pulverized)
  • 24 oz Olive Oil
  • 125 drops of Therapeutic Pure Grade Essential Oils (Researched list below)
Macerate in a double boiler for 2-3 hours: (Water in the bottom pot, Oil in the top pot) Do NOT BOIL the oil.)
  • 1 oz Activated Charcoal
  • 2 oz Bentonite Clay
  • 2-4 grams beewax
  • ½ oz Dried Dandelion Flowers
  • ½ oz Dried Chaparral Leaf
  • ½ oz Dried Sage Leaf
  • ½ oz Dried Calendula Flower Petals
  • 1 oz Dried Comfrey Root (slightly pulverized)
  • 24 oz Olive Oil
  1. Strain the ingredients into a 4 cup glass measuring cup to find out exactly how much oil you have left after the maceration then place the strained oil back in double boiler
  2. Add: 2-4 grams beewax (seems every beeswax is different, rule of thumb 1 oz beewax for every 8 oz of oil)
  3. If using a stainless steel double boiler remove from heat, cool slightly. Pour into a 4 cup glass measuring cup.
  4. Add in the Essential Oils Stir quickly adding in: 2 oz Bentonite Clay, 1 oz Activated Charcoal.
  5. Pour into glass salve jars. 1-2 oz is good. I was told politely to use glass salve jars because the activated charcoal and the bentonite clay react with tin. Therefore I have removed my salve from the tin and am ordering glass salve jars with a non-reactive lining.

Researched Essential Oils. I used a total 125 drops of all the oils below. I did it by Kinesiology because energy is different every day for everyone.
